Ernst & Young LLP (EY US) today announced that its CEO, Bret Biggart from Freedom Solar Power, was named an Entrepreneur Of The Year (r) 2023 Gulf South Award winner. The Entrepreneur Of The Year Awards program is one of the top competition awards for leaders and entrepreneurs in high-growth businesses. Bret Biggart was chosen by an unbiased judging panel comprised of past award winners, leading CEOs, investors, and other regional business leaders. The judges evaluated the candidates in accordance with their capability of creating long-term value through determination and entrepreneurial spirit, as well as their impact on growth and development in addition to other essential qualities and contributions.

It is expected that the National Award winners, including the Entrepreneur Of The Year National Overall Award winner, will be announced in November at the Strategic Growth Forum (r), one of the country’s most important gatherings of top-growth leading companies in the market. This year’s Entrepreneur Of The Year National Overall Award winner will go on to be a contender for The International Entrepreneur Of The Year (r) Award in June 2024.
